About the Event
Elena Remillard is a Research Scientist at the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI) within the College of Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a masters-level gerontologist, Elena serves as both the project coordinator and an investigator for RERC TechSAge (Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Technologies to Support Aging-in-Place for People with Long-Term Disabilities). In this role, Elena manages programming, reporting, and community outreach for the TechSAge center. Her specific research interests include design and technology for aging in place, technology acceptance among older adults, and tele-exercise programs for older adults with disabilities.
Elena will share the latest updates from the TechSAge Center which will include information about the Tele Tai Chi study which is an 8 week virtual seated Tai Chi programs for older adults with long term mobility disabilities and currently seeking research participants and research finding on everyday activity challenges among adults aging with long-term mobility disabilities from the ACCESS study (Aging Concerns, Challenges, and Everyday Solution Strategies).
